Summer is a busy season for many farmers, grazing is beginning to recover, there are many newly born animals and animals get ready for mating. The main goal during this season is to ensure the survival and growth of the newly born animals, successful mating, maximize growth rates to recover weight lost in winter and to prevent unnecessary mortalities due to the many diseases often seen during the summer months.

Our summer livestock health management consultations are a 1 hour crash course to focus on the various aspects of basic livestock management during the summer season to include vaccinations, internal and external parasite control and general nutrition management. We also make reference to the recommended product types and available product options that you can purchase for the summer season. In addition we will also discuss the guidelines on which products are important to have in your emergency kit as well as the treatment protocols for the commonly seen disease conditions in summer.
